I did some more sewing this past weekend for my littlest love thanks to some online tutorials.

Pillow Party!

Today I hosted my first sewing get together... so fun!
I have a number of friends with machines, so we got together to make pillows.
Oh if every week ended with a pillow party...

i know it's a horrible cell phone picture, but look! my first quilt! all the front pieces are cut and ready to be stitched...

I am in love with the color combinations... plum, turquoise, mustard, red... feels just right for this little girl. Now I need a few days off to sew! ha!

Fabric Labels

Can't wait to try out this tutorial at Prudent Baby from Katie at Notes from a Very Red Kitchen. I have always wanted to be able to sew in my own fabric label after I make something. So now- the hard part, as Katie says- actually coming up with a design!

so, here is how they turned out.

I think I could use a little practice, but they weren't awful. Anything made with a little Anna Maria Horner fabric couldn't be that bad after all!

Packaged together with a little lavender-filled eye mask... much better.

Well, I finished the littlest chick's Christmas present just in time!

She lovedit. It is from Anna Maria Horner's Handmade Beginnings book...
